Turkey cookies

So tonight for our FHE activity we made thankful turkey hand cookies. The kids had fun tracing their own hands and making cookies out of them. It was a huge mess but the kids had so much fun.Loryn's hand never made it to get a picture, she would frost a little, then take a bite. I love how simple things bring kids so much enjoyment. It was fun to hear what they were thankful for. I am extremely thankful for my biggest blessing, my children!

Morgans surgery day

Morgan had her tonsils and adnoids removed Tuesday. She is such a little trooper. She was so nervous but also excited not to have to deal with getting strep throat all the time. After the surgery she was pretty out of it, until dad arrived and she gave him a big smile. She sure loves her daddy. The only thing good about this for is she gets to eat slurpees and ice cream when she wants it. She is such a sweet girl, she was apologizing to me because I had to do so much for her. She kept saying thank you and i love you to me in sign language. I really enjoy giving her that extra love and care. Hopefully soon the pain will be less, she has been crying some today. I just keep telling her this will all be over soon. The Savior said it best when he said,"it may not be easy, but it will be worth it".

Bye bye paci

Well today is the last day for Loryn and her paci. I cut the top off and so the fun begins. It worked with all the other kids, let see how it works for her.AS you can see she wasn't very happy about it. What a bad day for her first shots and then this. Can life get any worse for her? Look she even wanted to throw it away now that she said it was broke. SHe called G-ma and told her all about it. She will probably cry tonight at the garbage can for it when it is bedtime. Cross your fingers for me!

Polar Express

This weekend was full of suprises and magic. We told the kids we were going camping, but we really were taking them on the Polar Express train ride. The look on all of their faces was priceless. I love the magic of Christmas and the joy that feels the air. It was a family memory I will never forget. I am so glad my parents and my sister and her family came too. They played the songs from the movie, and while reading the Polar express story we drank hot cocoa and ate cookies. The destination was the North Pole(which they could have made much cuter in my opion) but the kids still loved it. They were most excited when Santa came on the train to give them their bells. We had a really great time, and it just makes me get more excited about Christmas.

Happy 2nd Birthday Loryn

I can not beleive my baby is already 2! She has been such a fun part of our family. I just love to cuddle her and her sweet little spirit. Loryn loves to pray and is so pleased with herself when she is finished. Loryn also loves to sing and talk to her babies. She definantely brings a lot of spunk to our family. We celebrated with some of her friends during the day, and then had a family party that night. She was so excited about her baby from her friend Chloe and her Yo Gaba Gaba toys from G-ma. Thank you to all who came and made her day so special. Loryn we love you baby girl!!

Work hard, Play hard

Today Mason was put on the wall for his first lesson from Papa at plastering. Nothing like a little hard work. I think it is important to teach our kids now the true value of a hard worker. It is never to early to start. He was so excited to have his own small working tools. What is better then mud for a boy. I forsee summers when he is older helping papa at work. A little play is fun to. We went to the Adventure Dome to have some fun family time. It is no Disneyland, but it is still fun for the kiddies. I am going to have to wait for Lacie to get bigger, so I can ride with somewone on the big rollercoasters. Morgan is not to fond of them. Lacie is just like me. Major thrill seeker. Hurry and grow Lacie! A little hard work brings out some fun for us.
