Night owl

Loryn has turned into our little night owl. She wants to stay up with Marc and I. Maybe that is her way to get one on one time. She is so funny because when we tell her it is time to go to bed, she will break into song. I think she knows it will buy her some extra time. She loves to sing and I love to listen to her. Loryn will always say mom sing, so I can join her. You just can't help but smile when you hear her sing.

Morgan turns 9

Well my Morgan is 9. I cannot believe how time just keeps passing me by. I am so blessed to have Morgan in my life. She is such a wonderful daughter. She is everything I wish I was. She is so so sweet and always thinks of everyone before herself. Even on her birthday she wants her sisters and brother to have a present to.I wish I had the talents she has and am in awe of her everyday. She makes everyday a joy and makes my purpose her on earth even better. I love you Morgan and am so proud of the beautiful young lady you are becoming.

Snow Day in Vegas

In honor of celebrating no school because of snow, I thought it was a great reason to have snowman pancakes. The kids loved them. Mason wouldn't eat his because he didn't want to mess it up. Now I need to drive somewhere so my kids can play in the snow. It never stuck to the ground at our house. It was beautiful watching it come down. What a great way to bring in Christmas, WHITE! Go figure a snow day in Vegas.

Morgan piano recital

Tonight was Morgan's piano recital for Christmas. She stuggled more this recital with her music pieces. She forgot her music and I think her nerves got the better of her. When she was finished I gave her a big hug, and let her know how proud I was of her, and told her she was very courageous . Morgan just kept telling me she can play it really good at home.I felt so bad because I could see her disappointment in herself. Morgan is such a sweet girl and I wish I had just a little bit of her piano talent. Morgan makes my job as a mother a joy. Good job Morgan, I love you!

Much to be Thankful for

Another thanksgiving gone and I have more and more to be grateful for. I am thankful for my loving husband and 4 of the sweetest children on earth. I am thankful to a loving Father in Heaven who sent me to earth to my family and entusted me with his children to care for on earth. I am thankful for the gospel and knowing that one day I can live again with my Heavenly Father and for the eternities to come with my family. I am thankful for a land where I have my freedom and for all those who fight for me and my country. I am thankful for all the earthy comforts I enjoy, a home, car, ect.. I am thankful for wonderful friends. There are so many things I am thankful for I could never write them all down and this post would go on forever.

I was to busy, I didn't get much pictures during turkey day. I did manage to get this picture when we were home relaxing after alot of food, this just brings a smile to my face, Loryn's little crack showing while she is playing piano.

Turkey cookies

So tonight for our FHE activity we made thankful turkey hand cookies. The kids had fun tracing their own hands and making cookies out of them. It was a huge mess but the kids had so much fun.Loryn's hand never made it to get a picture, she would frost a little, then take a bite. I love how simple things bring kids so much enjoyment. It was fun to hear what they were thankful for. I am extremely thankful for my biggest blessing, my children!

Morgans surgery day

Morgan had her tonsils and adnoids removed Tuesday. She is such a little trooper. She was so nervous but also excited not to have to deal with getting strep throat all the time. After the surgery she was pretty out of it, until dad arrived and she gave him a big smile. She sure loves her daddy. The only thing good about this for is she gets to eat slurpees and ice cream when she wants it. She is such a sweet girl, she was apologizing to me because I had to do so much for her. She kept saying thank you and i love you to me in sign language. I really enjoy giving her that extra love and care. Hopefully soon the pain will be less, she has been crying some today. I just keep telling her this will all be over soon. The Savior said it best when he said,"it may not be easy, but it will be worth it".

Bye bye paci

Well today is the last day for Loryn and her paci. I cut the top off and so the fun begins. It worked with all the other kids, let see how it works for her.AS you can see she wasn't very happy about it. What a bad day for her first shots and then this. Can life get any worse for her? Look she even wanted to throw it away now that she said it was broke. SHe called G-ma and told her all about it. She will probably cry tonight at the garbage can for it when it is bedtime. Cross your fingers for me!

Polar Express

This weekend was full of suprises and magic. We told the kids we were going camping, but we really were taking them on the Polar Express train ride. The look on all of their faces was priceless. I love the magic of Christmas and the joy that feels the air. It was a family memory I will never forget. I am so glad my parents and my sister and her family came too. They played the songs from the movie, and while reading the Polar express story we drank hot cocoa and ate cookies. The destination was the North Pole(which they could have made much cuter in my opion) but the kids still loved it. They were most excited when Santa came on the train to give them their bells. We had a really great time, and it just makes me get more excited about Christmas.

Happy 2nd Birthday Loryn

I can not beleive my baby is already 2! She has been such a fun part of our family. I just love to cuddle her and her sweet little spirit. Loryn loves to pray and is so pleased with herself when she is finished. Loryn also loves to sing and talk to her babies. She definantely brings a lot of spunk to our family. We celebrated with some of her friends during the day, and then had a family party that night. She was so excited about her baby from her friend Chloe and her Yo Gaba Gaba toys from G-ma. Thank you to all who came and made her day so special. Loryn we love you baby girl!!

Work hard, Play hard

Today Mason was put on the wall for his first lesson from Papa at plastering. Nothing like a little hard work. I think it is important to teach our kids now the true value of a hard worker. It is never to early to start. He was so excited to have his own small working tools. What is better then mud for a boy. I forsee summers when he is older helping papa at work. A little play is fun to. We went to the Adventure Dome to have some fun family time. It is no Disneyland, but it is still fun for the kiddies. I am going to have to wait for Lacie to get bigger, so I can ride with somewone on the big rollercoasters. Morgan is not to fond of them. Lacie is just like me. Major thrill seeker. Hurry and grow Lacie! A little hard work brings out some fun for us.

Mason is really excited every week for school. How could you not be happy to go to Mrs. Tate's. He got his first homework packet, he could hardly wait to get started. Hopefully that will carry on throughout the years. He was most excited about the daddy skeleton he made today. He made a very anatomically correct boy skeleton. I love kids and their attention to details. Man I am going to be sad when Mason goes away to school all day. He is my best buddy, I hate that he is growing up so fast.

Toothfairy note

So Lacie wrote a cute letter to the tooth fairy of her requests when she took her tooth. She made sure the tooth was extra clean, brushing it so the toothfairy would do the things she asked. The tooth fairy was pretty nice, leaving her hand prints. Boy does Cynthia the tooth fairy write small. I remember getting my own letter from Cynthia when I was young. I love moments like these, and for being a mom!!

NUMB!!!

So today Lacie had to go get a cavity filled. She was a trooper not even crying with the shots in her mouth. She was so funny about how her mouth felt after she was done. She asked if she would be able to eat next week. I told her it would only be a few hours of numbness. This is the smile when she found out she didn't have to starve. She is my bottomless pit when it comes to food. I wish I had her metabolism.

Can you spank grandpa's?

Well this is what Morgan came home with after her weekend away with her grandparents. Three hermit crabs!! I must say Morgan was so excited to have a pet, so she had to make sure their was one for everyone. Bless her heart. I am not a huge pet person, so my kids are pretty deprived in that area. I have to say I get a little grossed out by our new crawling family members. Papa is going to have to come and clean the tank out, since it was his bright idea. I love my parents and am so glad they will do ANYTHING to please their babies.

Mason's first day of preschool

Mason was so excited to start at Mrs. Tate's again this year. He really enjoys going to school and being with his friends. He likes that their are other boys in the class. He was so funny about wanting to wear his new dinosaur shirt. He has been saving this shirt for today.

Back to school

Well we are back to school for the new year. THe girls are really excited to start a new grade, even though it has only been 2 weeks since they were in school. They really enjoy their new teachers. I love to see how much they have grown year to year. One thing I always love is Marc giving them a fathers blessing at the beginning of the school year. That is something I hope my kids will always treasure, because I never had that growing up. I am so grateful my kids will grow up with the priesthood in their home, and for a wonderful man who honors his priesthood.

Beauty day

So one day Mason is going to make a great husband. He loves to rub lotion on the our feet and leggs. He thinks it is alot of fun in the pedicure chair. Everybody in the shop was laughing at how he kept wanting to make everyone take turns. He is such a sweet boy. Also Lacie told her Aunt Jamie she wanted to have mommies hair, so she could be a pretty mommy to. I thought it was so cute. That totally made my day. She is my liitle mini me!!

I love how Loryn is learning by example. She gets so excited with herself when she folds her arms. Now we just have to keep from talking, or maybe she is just trying to say the prayer also. I was put in my place after the kids seen me taking the picture during our prayer. That I wasn't being reverent and closing my eyes.

Broken

Well our first broken bone. Morgan is in a cast for the next 6 weeks, which really is going to be a pain. The bathing alone stinks. Monday when we put her to bed she decided she wasn't tired and stacked some boxes on top of eachother to reach the light, and started to climb them. She fell off landing on her wrist. Maybe now when it is bed time she will actually go to sleep, ha ha. We are supposed to be at the beach in California, but I am not sure now. How do you keep a 8 year old out of the water and sand out of the cast. This is going to be a very long 6 weeks!

Memories

Memories...
This tag is pretty unique, so I thought I would give it a shot.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Our St. George trip for HSM

We had a fun time on our annual trip to St. George to watch a play, which the girls were excited it was High School Musical. We got there early to shop and hang out. One of the best patrs of the day was going to the Temple, where we walked aroung the grounds, and watched a wonderful new movie, The Pioneer Miracle. I am always so inspired with how the temple makes me feel and am so glad that my girls feel the spirit when they are there also. We were a little disappointed to find out that the play was in where the highschool kids do it. They did a good job.The girls really liked it.I guess it saved us from sitting in the heat outside. Sadly we were missing one of the girls, my mom, who was home sick. We missed you mom and there is always next year. Thanks Aunt Jamie for a fun day!

G-ma and Morgan playing chopsticks

Happy 4th!!

Well this year we were supposed to be camping in Utah, but we had car problems, which kept us in the heat. No matter we are, we always have a blast with our family. We had yummy food and great fun. Always, the fireworks were a great ending. Thanks to both our families for hanging with us.

11 years of bliss

This weekend Marc and I celebrated our 11 year anniversay. I can't believe it has been that long. I guess time flies by when you are having fun. We went to dinner and then he took me to the Belagio to walk aroung their flower diplay, but really he went to take me to get my gift. He took me to Tiffany's to by me a ring, but they did not have my size. Marc was a little upset about it. The practical side of me came out and told him I could really use some new tennis shoes and some clothes instead. Marc didn't want me to be practical though. We had a really good night together. We even went to my favorite ice cream place, yum! I just want to tell Marc how much I love him and am so grateful he is mine for eternity. He is so good to me and our kids. He truely is my gift from God. Thanks for 11 sweet years!!

Shhh

So this is what I came down to this afternoon while upstairs. Not 1, not 2, but 3 sleeping kids. My house is so quiet. Morgan is the only one who is not asleep. She told me she is way to old for naps. I thought I would give it a try though. There is nothing better then a sleeping kid. I guess kids can sleep anywhere, seeing how Loryn is sleeping. Yes , I realize that wasn't very safe either. Maybe I shouldn't be doing laundry, ha ha.

I lost some weight!!!

So yesterday I thought I would change it up for Marc for our 11 year anniversary. Boy did I surprise him. I lost 9 inches. To bad real wieght loss wasn't as fast as this was. I am still sad about the loss of all my hair, but hey it is alot cooler. Sometimes you just need a change and I guess I was at that time. I am not quite sure Marc was though. I guess life is full of surprises.
